The Reflecting Pool
Competition Hosted by Young Architects Competitions - 2020
The reflecting pool is a slow tourism structure for cultural heritage sites across France.
The brief calls for two structures or “modules”, that can be placed on all of the 3 sites
From the Brief
“The tree house is maybe one of the first and most shared archetypes of architecture. It is the shelter of childhood. It is a safe place. It is a stronghold to feel independent, and keep the adult world at a distance. It is an inaccessible place suspended between sky and trees. It is the scenery and projection of extremely exciting adventures.
“Through this competition Dartagnans is looking for innovative formats to provide the restored architectures with a new use. The tree house is the most suitable solution to make visitors enjoy rural areas in a slow tourism perspective respecting nature and promoting experiences immersed in the surrounding landscape.”
